About Us
Community Multi-Services, Inc. (CMS), a non-profit tax exempt organization, has operated group homes for children and adults, and supervised apartment facilities since 1978. During the past 40 years, CMS has provided high quality, cost effective homes for Child and Family Services and Department of Disability Services. CMS strives to coordinate and integrate a humanistic approach of milieu therapy teaching and training for all its individuals.
Community Multi-Services, Inc. (CMS), provides high quality residential Group Homes for Developmentally Disabled Citizens in the Washington, D.C. area. These homes include individuals who display various levels of intellectual disabilities, psychiatric disorders, neurological impairments, seizure disorders, adjunctive problems associated with developmental disabilities and socially maladaptive behaviors. The therapeutic program in the Group Homes is designed to teach the individuals the skills necessary to live in the community and society at large.

Some of these include, Vacation, Dining, Adult Day Treatment Programs, Recreational Activities, Grocery & Personal, Shopping, Banking, Employment, Church Activities and Special Olympics
Host Home
Have you ever considered opening your home to a person with an intellectual disability? Our Host Home Program introduces people with intellectual disabilities to homeowners or renters willing to share their home. The individuals can: Develop Relationships, Build Daily Living Skills, Integrate into their Communities Perspective families. Our host home program can include candidates who are single or married. If you are interested in becoming one of our host home families, please contact us for more information.
Supportive Living
Our well trained Direct Support Professionals (DSP) provide personalized services to people in their homes or apartment. We offer customized training in acquiring, retaining, or improving skills related to activities of daily living, socialization, adaptive living skills, and community integration.
